![]() Stratega has been built over the past 10 years on its mission of improving the competitiveness and business development of small and medium-size enterprises. During this time, Stratega has evolved into the leading Ecuadorian consulting firm in the area of policies and strategies for competitiveness and business development.
Stratega was founded in 1995 as an investment banking and securities brokerage house by three Ecuadorian former bankers with broad experience in private project financing and business development. From the start, Stratega Casa de Valores specialized in SME business development in the technology, tourist industry, and agricultural export sectors, providing expert advisory services in corporate strategy and corporate finance, with emphasis on securities market financing and venture capital. Over the past five years, Stratega's growth has been based on the provision of support services to small and medium-size enterprises to improve their levels of competitiveness. To this end, the b.works portal was set up to offer financial and accounting outsourcing services over the Internet. In 2002, Stratega BDS was created to concentrate consulting services on pro-competitiveness policies, development of production chains, and business development. During this time, and in keeping with its focus on the improvement of competitiveness, Stratega BDS has ventured into local development and public policy projects, as the partners' knowledge and experience have become specialized in these areas, within our culture of constant learning. Thus, Stratega BDS now combines the carrying out of medium-term development projects with business development consulting services for SMEs. With the growth of our operations and the opening of our offices in Quito and Guayaquil, we now have twenty-two executives working nationwide, and Stratega's future is directed toward regional growth. In 2002, as a natural consequence of our group's profound commitment to economic and human development in Ecuador, the majority of Stratega's shareholders founded E.dúcate, a non-profit organization whose mission is to work for the development of the country's human capital through the design and implementation of social projects, mainly oriented toward improving the quality of and access to education in the country. |
